My Top Romance Novels to date

We have all experienced that moment when a novel you have been reading suddenly becomes one of your top romance novels. That feeling of complete change: whether the novel has stolen your heart, or mended and melted you from the inside out. Show me a book I love and I am able to recall the moment I fell in love with it, the moment it became one of my top romance novels.

I remember reading Winter’s Heat for the first time. This at the time was the longest novel I had read. I started the novel at night and I remember fighting with myself to go to sleep. As you could have guessed I didn’t and that was the first time I had done an all-nighter with something other than a textbook. That morning I had more energy that I normally have (which didn’t last) but every time I see that novel or read it again I remember that feeling of when it had become my top romance novel and I just melt all over again.

Like most readers who have been reading for quite some time those moments have happened quite a lot. I have read and fallen in love with so many novels that choosing my 5 top romance novel is a bit hard.

At this very moment as I write this these are my top romance novels. I am stating this mostly because I am constantly reading and the next novel I read might very well make my top romance novels list.

Just to put into perspective that I have not read the following and that they are on my TO READ list.

  • The Notebook or any of Nicholas Sparks (I do plan on reading this ASAP)
  • The Time Traveller’s Wife

Here is my current top 5 romance novels list

1. Winter’s Heat by Denise Domning

“Her years in a nunnery taught Rowena of Benfield many things, but not how to be a wife to the powerful lord who claimed her as his bride. She vows never to submit to this aloof and ruthless man who claims her.

Rannulf of Graistan has been a woman’s fool once before and has sworn to never be again, but he cannot refuse the rich estate that this marriage brings him.

But a tide of treachery is rising around them and their only hope lays in daring to trust and to love unconditionally.”

2. The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Stephenie Meyer captured my heart with this novel.

“Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.”

5. Playing for Keeps by R. L. Mathewson

When feelings change from hate, to friendship to love.

Cutest, great little novel. I love this novel so much, it’s never failed to lift my spirits when I’m feeling down. It’s got so much humour, I can’t help but smile.

A total must read for all romance lover.

Thanks for reading and share your top romance novels and let’s keep reading 🙂
